The cotton comes from original cotton seeds that were rediscovered in old, abandoned cotton fields in Brazil, after production had moved to the large-scale agricultural plains of Mato Grosso.

When cotton became a mass-produced commodity, the seeds that naturally produced dyed cotton largely disappeared, because the fiber cannot be dyed and did not meet industrial standards. That is precisely what makes it unique today: the color is naturally embedded in the fiber and therefore remains beautiful and vibrant, even after a long time.
